JAMMU, Feb 23: Jammu club, Jammu organized the prize distribution function to honour those members who were winners of the events of sports week held recently in the Jammu club
Sports events were held in the various Games including Table Tennis, Squash, Gymnasium, Snooker Billiards Pool, Bridge and Swimming during the week-long event.
The chief guest on the occasion was. Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, who is also Vice President of the club.
He distributed the prizes among the winners on the occasion.
Vikram Dhawan was adjudged the Sportsman of the Year, he was the overall winner of many events.
Budding Skaters Kartikya Puri and Puneesh Puri and Marathoner Gaurav Gupta were also honoured on this occasion for bringing laurels to the UT.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of Rajesh Gupta, Chaiman Sports Committee and his team to hold such a big event and involving so many members.
He also appreciated the role of sponsors and presented mementoes to them.
Rattan Deep Anand, Honourary Secretary along with the Management Committee presented a memento to the chif guest as a token of gratitude from the organisers. Mr Anand also presented vote of thanks.
The programme was followed by a Musical Night.
