JAMMU, Oct 25: Nirvana Academy and Dance Revolution Academy jointly organised dance talent programme “Jammu Dance Icons” at Auditorium, Government Polytechnic College Bikram Chowk, here.
Bharat Choudhary, senior PDP leader (Jammu East) was the chief guest on the occasion, while Priya Dutta HoD Kathak Fine Arts College, Vikrant Dogra Vice Chairman FIBDO, Deepshikha Katal Principal Trikuta Deep High School, Vikas Dogra Vice President Prayas, Bachan Lal Block President PDP and Darbari Lal were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Over 150 participants from different Schools and institutes took part in different categories of the competition.
Shashi Gupta renowned dance choreographer of the State and Priya Sharma Classical dancer of the State were the adjudicators.
Programme commenced with the welcome speech of Hitesh Badyal, President Nirvana Academy followed by Saraswati Vandana presented by the classical dance group of Dance Revolution Academy.
A Dogri regional guest performance was highly applauded by the audience. Solo, duet and group dances were also presented on the occasion.
The programme was organised, choreographed and directed by Sanjeev Mangotra and Anu Bhardwaj, noted dance choreographers of Jammu.
Bharat Choudhary while speaking on occasion appreciated the initiative of the organisers  and said that these kind of programmes are source of entertainment as well as platform for kids and future generation artists.
He also applauded the work of Nirvana Academy and Dance revolution Academy for providing platform to the budding artists of Jammu.
The chief guest distributed certificates and mementoes to the winners of the dance competition.
Gurvinder Kour, Kashish Thakyal and Bhavana were declared best choreographers on the occasion.
Manjeet Singh and Sanjay anchored the programme.
In solo sub junior group A, Harsheen Kour, Manhapreet Singh and Ishar bagged first, second and third position respectively, while in sub jr B, Aryan Patel, Naman and Sayam Verma were declared first, second and third respectively.
In sub jr C, Adavitee Gandotra, Sanna and Harshit Luthra claimed the first three positions, while in sub jr D, Sania Kumar, Nityam and Arshiya Gupta bagged first, second and third position respectively.
In Junior group A, Muskaan, Kiran and Smile claimed first three positions respectively, while in jr B, Sidharth, Harsh and Rukhmani bagged first, second and third position respectively and in jr group C, Robin Singh Charak, Jimani Gupta and Vishal Singh bagged first, second and third position respectively.
In senior group A, Shekhar Rajput, Rajni Sohi and Rahul bagged first three position, while in senior group B, Nitanshu, Daleep Kumar and Rajnandani claimed first, second and third position respectively.
In duet sub jr, the duo of Akshit and Kakshi claimed first position, while in junior group A, Kiran and Harsh bagged first position, Karina Mehta and partner clinched second and Riya Mahajan and partner won third position respectively.
In jr group B, Anshika and Nainreet bagged first position, while  Akankaha Sharma and partner bagged second position.
