JAMMU, June 25: Renowned dancer from Jammu, Nrityashree Deepak Dutta has been conferred with this year’s prestigious Delhi Ratan Award for his remarkable and outstanding contribution in the field of Performing Arts (Classical Dance) in a function organized by Natraj Art Academy (NAA) in New Delhi.
On the Occasion, Nrityashree Deepak Dutta, who is son of Shashi and Vinod Dutta, as show stopper gave miraculous classical dance performance on singing legend Manna Dey’s classical number based on Raag Chaayanat “Tere Naina Talaash Karain Jisae Woh Hai Tujhi Main Kahin Deewaanae”.
By this performance, Deepak Dutta left everyone present in the hall spell bound and got heartfelt standing ovation with round of applause from chief guests, guests of honour, media fraternity, sponsors and audience present in jam packed hall of Tecnia Auditorium.
The award was presented to Deepak by Bollywood actress, Sonam C Chhabra, famous Reality Shows’ anchor, Santosh Tandon, NAA chairman, RK Jalan, NAA founder, Rakesh Khurana, NAA patron, Lion Gulfam, chief patron, Vipin Garg and NAA Director, Lucky Kashyap.
This is for the first time that an artist from J&K State has been conferred with this prestigious award.
By winning this award, Nrityashree Deepak Dutta has bought laurels to the State and also for Army Public School Miran Sahib, where he is presently working as senior dance teacher.
Other who got this award are Sandeep Yadav (Music Instrumental), Narinder Bhutani (Music Vocal), Nishith Seth (Medical Science), Dr Nishi Rastogi (Art), Sudhir Sharma (social activist), Babita Choudhary (Glamour), Sanjay Sharma (Media) and Sonam C Chhabra (Acting).
