Jammu District Chess C’ship concludes

JAMMU, July 11: Jammu District Chess Championship which was organized by the Jammu District Chess Association (JDCA) at Nek Hotel, Jammu concluded today.
Atul Kumar Gupta won the title, while Sumit Grover remained in 2nd position, Panache Gupta and Pazhany Kohli got 3rd and 4th place in the championship while Arvindu Sharma secured 5th position. The winners received monetary awards totalling about Rs 10,000, according to the officials.
Among the budding young chess players, Ahana Gupta performed very well in the championship and retained 8th position in the event. Senior Chess player S.P. Sharma distributed prizes among the winners along with Baldev Raj, President All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association.
