Jammu District shooting C’ship gets endrnesing

Jammu, Sept 11: Principal Delhi Public School Jammu  Sudershan  Sonar  today declared open Jammu district shooting Championship 2012 at DPS Shooting Range here today.
A total of 40 shooters  from different institutions and clubs of Jammu District are  taking part in this  three day championship.  During the three days competitions marksmen will be showing their skills in 177 air pistol and air rifle Sub Junior (Below 15 years),   Junior (18 to 21 years) and Open category (21 years and above) events.
All those  shooters who obtain minimum qualifying scores will be eligible to take part  in the forthcoming J&K State Open Shooting championship to be held at Kathua in the last week of October this year.
District President Sanam Soni  presented welcome address.
Speaking on the occasion,  Principal Delhi Public School, Jammu Sudarshan Sonar encouraged the shooters and   assured them all help for the promotion of the game.
Joint Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association , Sharat Chander Singh presented vote of thanks.
The opening day was the training session while the competition will start at the  Delhi Public School Shooting Range at  2: 00PM on tomorrow.  It is being held under the overall supervision of NRAI qualified state chief coach Rajesh Virdhy. He is being assisted by  Ajay Singh and  Vijay Kumar and Ravinder Singh.
Those were present  on the occasion including Senior Vice president Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, General Secretary, District Jammu Rifle Association ,Dharmveer Singh,, Executive members Col.  Sukhvir Singh, Secretary cum Treasurer Sudhir Kumar, Suminder Singh, Dr Prem Singh, S Dua and other staff members of the school.
