SAMBA, Mar 20: Jammu District lifted Senior State Kho-Kho Championship 2018-19, defeating Udhampur District in the summit clash at Dhalote, here today.
Jammu outplayed Udhampur by 7 points and the final score read (13-6).
Meanwhile, the women’s title went to Jammu by outplaying Samba by 6 points.
In the finals and valedictory function, SSP Koushal Sharma was the chief guest, who presented the title trophies to the winners and runners-up teams. He appreciated the finalist teams for displaying extraordinary skills through the match, especially, during last couple of minutes of the game.
Speaking on the occasion, BS Tirthi appreciated the efforts of organising committee for holding the event in a befitting manner. He asked the players to work hard for securing a place in the upcoming Kho-Kho Premier League.
The matches were officiated by the technical penal including Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma Coach JKSSC, Dheeraj Sharma Coach JKSKKA, Amrinder Singh, Gagan, Pushpa and Vishal Malhotra.
Present among others were Harjeet Singh (general secretary), Krishan Singh, Ravinder Bali, Vinod Sharma and Deep Mala.
