UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: Jammu division boys and girls outplayed their counterparts from Kashmir division and lifted the Under-19 basketball titles in the State Level Inter-Division Basketball Tournament, which concluded at Army Public School (APS), here today.
Benam Tosh, SP Udhampur was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Vinod Joseph, Principal Army Public School Udhampur was the guest of honour. Brig Bakshi and SAI football coach Mohinder Verma were the special guests.
The Tournament was held under the patronage of Navin Aggarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports and under the supervision of DYSSO, Udhampur.
Earlier, in the boys final, Jammu thrashed Kashmir by a big margin of 30 points (59-29), while in the girls summit clash, Jammu got better of Kashmir by 5 points (13-8).
The matches were officiated by Ajay Sharma, Ravi Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Shashi Sharma, Manik Nargotra, Amit Sharma, Rishi Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar Bassi.
