Jammu Duathlon 70.3 set to begin today

Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Nov 16: The 5th edition of the MMM Jammu Duathlon 70.3 is all set for its grand kickoff on November 17, with the unveiling of the event jersey today at the Bib Expo. The unveiling was accompanied by a special ceremony honouring 25 athletes from across India, who will participate in the exciting event combining cycling and running. The competition will take place at Mehtab Palace, Miran Sahib, Jammu, with the first race starting at 4:00 am. Since its inception in 2020, the Jammu Duathlon 70.3 has grown into a prominent event in the region, organized by the Jammu Hills Sports Club Foundation. This year, the duathlon will feature several categories designed for athletes of all levels: Sprint Duathlon (1.5 km Run, 20 km Cycle, 3 km Run) for ages 12-18. Olympic Duathlon (1.5 km Run, 40 km Cycle, 10 km Run) for ages 16 and above. Duathlon 70.3 (1.9 km Run, 90 km Cycle, 21 km Run) for ages 18 and above. The event will also host relay categories for team participants. Brigadier Harcharan Singh (Retd.), Director North, WWF, will be the chief guest, adding prestige to this exciting competition.
