reasi, Sept 17: The Division Level Inter-District Fencing Tournament Under-14, 17 and Under-19 boys and girls concluded at Garden Estate Hall, here today.
Rajinder Singh Rana, District Information Officer Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi and Organizing Secretary of the Tournament welcomed the chief guest and briefed about the 3-day long tournament in which 183 boys and girls Fencers drawn from different districts of Jammu Division participated.
Mr Rana while addressing the gathering discussed with the fencers the importance of sports and shared his life experiences with them.
Later on, he distributed medals and trophies among the winners.
The tournament was organized by District Youth Services and Sports Office Reasi.
In Under-17 Epee (Girls), Mehak of Jammu won Gold, Priyanka of Reasi clinched Silver, while Vanshika of Reasi and Danushi of Jammu claimed bronze, while in Under-17 Foil (Girls), Ashu of Jammu bagged Gold , while Ishika of Jammu won Silver. Apoorva and Mansi, both from Jammu shared bronze.
In Under-17 Sabre (Girls), Kritharti of Jammu clinched Gold, while Malvi of Jammu Silver. Samreen of Jammu and Vishali of Reasi shared bronze.
Under-17 Epee (Boys), the gold medal went to Ajay Chalotra of Reasi, while in Under-17 Foil (Boys), Bharat of Reasi claimed gold and in Under-17 Sabre (Boys), Mayank of Jammu bagged Gold.
Under-19 Epee (Girls), Sakshi of Jammu bagged Gold, while Under-19 Foil (Girls), Riya of Jammu claimed Gold and in Under-19 Sabre (Girls), Sonali of Jammu won Gold.
In Under-19 Sabre (Boys), Rudra of Jammu clinched Gold, while in Under-19 Foil (Boys), Ravnawaz bagged Gold, while in Under-19 Epee (Boys), Saksham of Jammu won Gold.
