JAMMU, Oct 29: Jammu Zone emerged winners of Inter-Zonal District Level (IZDL) Badminton competitions in Under-14 & 19 by defeating Bishnah and Bhalwal respectively by 2-0 each, here today.
The IZDL Badminton is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Jammu at Indoor Complex MA Stadium, here.
About 70 participants in all age groups of boys participated in the competitions which were drawn from all 14 Zones of District Jammu. The tournament is being organised under the chairmanship of Gazanfar Ali, Director Youth Services & Sports J&K UT.
The IZDL competition was inaugurated by Jatinder Mishra, Deputy Director Central Youth Services and Sports, whereas the event was organised under the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj.
In semi-finals, Satwari beat Akhnoor by 2-0 in under-17 and Jammu trounced Bishnah by 2-0 in under-19 competition boys.
