Jammu Green wins Budding Cricket Tournament title

JAMMU, July 17: Jammu Green registered win over Jammu Blue and won the title of the Budding Cricket Tournament U-16 Three Match Series, organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, Jammu Green scored 117 runs for all out in 28.5 overs. Sachin was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Vinayak and Aarav Mahajan made 18 and 15 runs respectively.
For Jammu Blue side, Anurag was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets, while Prabjot took two wickets.
In reply, Jammu Blue failed to chase the target and collapsed at 96 runs for all out in 27 overs. Raghav was the highest scorer with 34 runs, while Ankush Gill and Areen chipped in 22 and 10 runs respectively.
From Jammu Green side, Sanat and Aryan Dogra scalped 2 wickets each, while Abhinab, Aarav Mahajan, Anmol Bhan and Aditpal took one wicket apiece.
Anurag of Jammu Green was adjudged as Man of the Match, while Musaif bagged Best Batsman award, Aarav Mahajan secured Man of the Series award and Anurag clinched Best Bowler award.
