JAMMU, Dec 25: Jammu Legends lifted Chaar Sahibzaade Gold Cup Hockey Tournament by defeating Himachal Veterans in the final. Both the finals in Men and Women category were played here today.
In the first final of the women hockey match, Punjab Blue beat Himachal by 7-1 and in the Men’s final between Jammu Legends and Himachal ended in a draw by 3-3 goals which was decided via Tie Breaker.
In the Women’s final, Gurpreet Kour of Punjab scored a hat trick out of total scores of seven goals, while Himachal scored only one goal. And in the second final played between Himachal and Jammu Legends (Men’s) both the teams scored three goals each and the match was decided via Tie Breaker and finally the Jammu Legends won the match.
The first match was inaugurated by Balvinder Singh, Vice President DGPC Jammu and Mahant Rajesh Bitu while Sham Lal Sharma, Senior BJP Leader and Ex-Minister was the Chief Guest for the second final played between Jammu Legends and Himachal (Men). First women’s final was supervised by Anjali Thakur & Minakshi as umpires and second Men’s final, Satwant Singh and Sahil were the umpires. S M S Reen was the tournament Director.
