Jammu Open Taekwondo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Apr 21: The Jammu Open Taekwondo Championship organized by J&K Sports Taekwondo Association in collaboration with Sai Palace Trikuta Nagar concluded here today.
More than 175 players from nine schools including Modern Montessori International Trikuta Nagar, Roots – the Montessori House, Dogra Higher Secondary School and Cinosural International School from four different districts of Jammu province participated in the championship which was conducted under the supervision of Ronika Rathore. The student who won the gold medal will be selected for the National Championship at Kashmir.
Mohan Lal Bhagat, SSP SO to Additional Director General of Police was the chief guest of the closing ceremony while Dr Sanjogita Soodan Deputy Superintendent Super Specialist Hospital Jammu was the guest of honour and special guest was Dr. Anita Sharma Master Trainer CBSE.
Amit Sharma vice president J&K Sports Taekwondo Association and Fateh Ali, Senior Executive Member and Ayush Salgotra Media Incharge J&K Sports Taekwondo Association were also present. Anil Nanda, president J&K Sports Taekwondo Association and Hall of Fame awardee was present on the occasion.
The results in different categories were (13 to 16) Aadit Chopra won Gold; Aayaan Bhandari won Silver; Gurdaat Singh won Bronze. In (16 to 18) Viraj Gaur -Gold ; Mohd. Adyan – Silver; Riddhit Singh Sambyal – Bronze. In 16-18 Group-B; Saibhan Singh Anand – Gold; Viraj Singh Dua -Silvee, Sanmay Sanchit Batta – Bronze. 18-20 Group – A: Aadhavan – Gold; Divant Singh Rajput – Silver; Ayushmaan – Bronze. 18-20: Group – B: Anshuman Singh Jamwal – Gold; Hamaad Malik – Silver; Gaiver Singh – Bronze.
