Jammu outplays Kashmir in Inter-Division U-19 cricket

KATHUA, Sept 5: Jammu division boys trounced their counterparts of Kashmir division in the State Level Inter-Division Under-19 Cricket Tournament, which got underway at Sports Stadium, here.
District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kathua declared the tournament open in an impressive, well attended and colourful function.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the overall supervision of SK Chalotra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kathua.
Earlier, batting first, Jammu division scored a modest total of 120 runs, with Sunil Kumar, Abid Mushtaq and Jaspreet scoring 25, 16 and 13 runs respectively. Saleem was wrecker-in-chief for Kashmir division, who scalped 4 important wickets.
In reply, Kashmir division collapsed and lost the match by a big margin.
The match was officiated by a panel of experts including Parbhat Singh, Jaipal Singh, Rajesh Kumar and Mohan Lal.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were SSP Kathua, Mohan Lal, ADC Kathua, Principal PTS Kathua, RK Bhat and Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua, Khem Raj.
