Jammu outplays Kathua-Samba in SSPF Inter-District Football

JAMMU, May 1: Jammu district outplayed Kathua-Samba district in SSPF Inter-District Football by two goals to one (2-1), here today.
The first goal was scored by Kathua-Samba through Amit Singh of Army Public School, Janglote in 10th minute of the match. Jammu equalized the score through a brilliant goal scored by Tanshu of GD Goenka Public School in 24th minute and got the lead through the goal pelted by Sambhav Koul of GD Goenka Public School in 68th minute of the game.
The Jammu district team is being accompanied by Moon Stephen as coach, while Kathua-Samba team is being accompanied by Dil Bahadur as coach.
The players who represented the three district of Kathua, Samba and Jammu will be selected on merit basis for representing the State team.
The selected team will play against other States in this talent hunt initiative by SSPF AND Sports Authority of India (SAI).
State Coordinator, Iqbal Singh and District Coordinator, Arun Pal Singh were present on the occasion.
