JAMMU, Mar 9: Jammu Police continuing with its mission for channelising the energy of the youth in positive direction and providing them a platform to showcase their talent organized a Talent Hunt Programme (Choona Hai Aasman, season-4) in which hundreds of contestants drawn from different parts of District Jammu including rural and border areas participated.
It is the endeavour of J&K Police to give platform to the budding artists, who aspire to perform at State and country level. There where two categories of solo singing both Male/Female, under 16 yrs (junior) and above (senior) categories.
There was a tremendous response from the general public over the initiatives of J&K Police.
The judges on the occasion were by Anil Tikoo and Bishan Dass from Jammu and Kashmir Arts, Culture and Languages, Jammu and Suraj Singh, HoD Music and Fine Arts Jammu.
Sandeep and Varsha emerged winners in junior category male female respectively, Ankush was the winner of senior category male and the winner in senior category female was Susmita, who were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000 each. The 1st runner-up of junior category male was Kanwar and junior category female was Mamta Kour and the senior category male was Mansoor Mushtaq and senior category female was Urvashi Sharma, who were awarded a cash prize of Rs 750 each. The 2nd runner-up junior category male was Shariyar, junior category female was Harpriya Gupta and the senior category male was Brij Bhushan Khajuria and the senior category female was Sonia Manhas who were awarded a cash Prize of Rs. 500 each.
Shakeel Ahmed Baig, DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range was the chief guest on the occasion, who gave away the cash prizes and trophies to the winners along with SSP Jammu, Atul Goel.
