JAMMU, Dec 29: Runners from Jammu and Kathua districts participated enthusiastically in the 10K Flag Run for Wildlife held at the MC Zoological Park (Chatbir Zoo) near Chandigarh today. The event, organized by Indian Flag Runners in collaboration with MC Zoological Park Chandigarh, aimed to raise awareness about wildlife conservation while also setting a milestone in the International Book of Records, with all participants carrying the Indian National Flag during the run.
A standout moment came when Sindhu Sharma from Kathua secured third place in his age category, showcasing his exceptional performance and dedication to the cause.
The event also saw inspiring participation from senior citizens Satpal Kalsi (65 years) and Anil Katoch (63 years), proving that age is no barrier to fitness and environmental advocacy.
Supported by the Forest Department, Government of Punjab, the run highlighted participants’ commitment to fitness, patriotism, and wildlife conservation. Runners from Jammu and Kathua made their region proud on this significant occasion, contributing to the larger cause of preserving wildlife and promoting a healthier, greener future.
