JAMMU, Dec 17: ProCam International’s Tata Steel Kolkata 25K run saw runners from Jammu demonstrated extraordinary perseverance and skill as outstanding athletes.
In the difficult 25-kilometer run in Kolkata, Anil Katoch, a 62-year-old retired SSP, Abhishake Gupta, and Sudhir Anand represented Jammu. These athletes showed unmatched perseverance and dedication throughout the demanding course.
More than 17,000 athletes from various parts of the country and abroad joined this prestigious event, making it a remarkable display of sporting camaraderie and excellence.
Sudhir Anand, displaying an extraordinary sense of patriotism, ran along the roads of Kolkata while proudly hoisting the Indian Flag high. His remarkable determination led him to complete the demanding 25-kilometer run in an impressive time of 1 hour and 59 minutes. Abhishake Gupta closely followed, finishing the race in an admirable time of 2 hours and 1 minute. Anil Katoch showcased unwavering perseverance, completing the run in 2 hours and 31 minutes, proving age is never a barrier for passion and dedication.
Moreover, Sudhir Anand and Abhishake Gupta earned the prestigious titles of “Procam Slam 2023.” This esteemed title is awarded to runners who successfully complete four challenging events organized by ProCam International; the 42 km Tata Mumbai Marathon, 10 km TCS Bangalore, 21.1 km Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon and the 25 km Tata Steel Kolkata, marking an outstanding achievement in their athletic careers.
