JAMMU, Nov 21: Jammu Sanskriti School organized 2nd Annual Athletic Meet ‘Udaan’ with enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
S Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest for the occasion, amidst large number of parents and other dignitaries and Principals from other Schools.
The Meet started with oath taking ceremony followed by releasing of the balloons by the chief guest.
Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice Chairperson presented welcome address.
The aim of the event was to encourage sports activities, create competitive spirit amongst the youth especially girls to build confidence and identify talent for representation at state and national levels. Students displayed tremendous team spirit.
A large number of children participated in different events and competitions. Synchronized Dumple presentation and gymnastics on the Rhythmic beats were the highlights of the day. Winners of various events were felicitated by the chief guest and the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest said that promoting sports in school was not just a medium to keep students physically fit but to make them realize their potential and take up sports as a profession too. He complimented the school management, staff and students for a spectacular show and wished good luck for future.
