JAMMU, Nov 25: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu hosted an Inter-School Folk Song event with great pomp and show, here today.
The musical event began with invoking blessings from God by lighting of ceremonial lamp and presentation of samplings as a gesture of gratitude to the guests.
The participating schools were welcomed with the singing of rejuvenating welcome song followed by an amazing welcome dance performance by talented Sanskritians.
Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the School, Rohini Aima welcomed the honoured judges namely Surinder Manhas and PN Mattoo, experts in the field of music.
The musical event was followed by prize distribution by the chief guests, Jagdish Dhami. The 1st-prize was bagged by Heritage School, the 2nd-prize was shared by Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu and GD Goenka Public School. The consolation prizes were won by Doon International School and MV International School.
The concert was relinquished with vote of thanks by CCA Co-ordinator, Nidhi Kohli.
