Jammu South to lock horns with Jammu West in Korfball summit clash

JAMMU, Mar 28: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the respective semifinal clashes today, Jammu West and Jammu South have sealed berth in the finals of the 12th Bhai Gurbaksh Singh State Korfball Championship and will take on each in the title clash at Green Field Gandhi Nagar, here tomorrow.
In the first semifinal, Jammu South beat Pulwama by (15-5), with half time score reading  (8-2) in favour of Jammu South. For Jammu South Jatinderpal scored 4 goals, while  Shweta, Sonia and Rashmi scored 3 goals each and Meenal scored 2 goals. For Pulwama Tariq scored 3 goals and Gulzar scored 2.
In second semifnal, Jammu West beat Shopian district by       (9-3), with half time score reading (6-1) in favour of Jammu West. For Jammu West, Dikshah and Abhishek scored 3 goals each, while Anshu and Mohit scored 2 and 1 goal respectively. For Shopian Sahil scored 2 goals and Majid scored 1 goal.
Earlier, in other matches Srinagar beat Baramulla by (7-5);  Pulwama drubbed Badgam by (15-10) ; Kathua got better of Rajouri by (5-3); Gandarbal trounced  Anantnag by( 3-2);  Samba prevailed over Udhampur (18-9);  Shopian outplayed  Kathua by (7-3) ; Pulwama beat Gandarbal by (8-4) and  Jammu West outplayed Samba by (11-6).
The hardliner match will be played tomorrow morning between Pulwama and Shopian, the fFinal match will be played between Jammu South and Jammu West at 5 pm tomorrow.
