JAMMU, Apr 24: Jammu Sports and Kargil United registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing 2nd Phase of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup State League Football Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), here.
In the first match played today, Jammu Sports defeated Real Jammu by two goals to nil (2-0). Devashish and Kumar scored the goals for the winners.
In another match, Kargil United defeated Churchill Brothers ‘C’ by four goals to nil (4-0). Mohd Mussa scored two goals in 44th and 53rd minutes, while Mohd Esfandier scored one goal in 38th minute and Jaffar Khan netted another goal in 3rd minute.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Singh, Ankit Mehta, Abhishek, Anish Kumar, Ashish Mehra, Ajay Sareen and Danish Dogra.
The matches were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood (District President DFA Jammu), Romesh Chander, Varinder Kumar, Charan Dass, Yousuf Don, S. Amardeep Singh and Rajesh Sumbria.
