JAMMU, Mar 7: District Jammu Senior Hockey Championship, organised by the Hockey J&K entered 3rd day at KK Hakku Stadium, here today.
Today’s first match of the championship was played between Young Khalsa Hockey Club and Dashmesh Hockey Club in which Dashmesh Club emerged winners by 3 goals to nil. Hardeep Singh scored 2 goals in 26th and 28th minute of the match, whereas 3rd goal was scored by Manveer Singh in 29th minute of the match. Rajeev Sharma, president Hockey J&K was the chief guest of the first match.
Sahil Batta and Vineet Mahajan were the special guests of the 2nd match who introduced both the teams which was played between Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club and Young Star Hockey Club, wherein the latter emerged winners by 4 goals to 1. Pardeep Singh and Kamalpreet Singh scored one goal each in the 69th and 10th minute of the game. The lone goal from Shaheed Bhagat Singh side was netted by Angat Singh in the 59th minute of the game in the fourth half.
The matches were officiated by Dalbinder Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Balmeet Singh Tejinder Singh, Minakshi Khajuria and Angat Singh.
Tomorrow’s fixture: the 1st semi-final will be played between Dashmesh Hockey Club and MBS Hockey Club, while in the 2nd semi-final Khalsa Warrior Hockey Club will lock horns with Young Star Hockey Club at the same venue.
