Jammu Sunrisers smash Jammu Superstars to take on Jammu Kings in semis today

JAMMU, Sept 8: Jammu Sunrisers smashed Jammu Superstars and will now take on Jammu Kings in the semis of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Championship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC), Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Cricket Academy, here tomorrow.
In Group-A match played at Parade Ground, Jammu Sunrisers defeated Jammu Superstars by 13 runs. Batting first, Jammu Sunrisers scored 100 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Shehzad scored 26 runs, while Kartik and Varinder made 23 and 20 runs respectively.
From Jammu Superstars side, Praful, Gurdaat and Smarpit took one wicket each.
In the second inning, Jammu Superstars could not achieve the target and made 86 runs in the stipulated 18 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Ragav Thakur made 30 runs, while Rohan Gill scored 14 runs and Surinder chipped in 11 runs.
From Jammu Sunrisers side, Kartik was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 wickets while Ateeb, Vatsal and Varinder scalped 1 wicket each.
Kartik of Jammu Sunrisers was adjudged as Man of the Match.
