JAMMU, Sept 3: Jammu Superstars and Jammu Tigers thrashed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Championship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC), Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Academy.
In Group-A match played at Parade ground, Jammu Superstars defeated Jammu Kings by 7 wickets. Batting first, Jammu Kings scored 99 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Surya was the top scorer with 41 runs, while Sourav made 7 runs.
From Jammu Superstars side, Sachin and Ragav Gupta scalped 2 wickets each, while Gurdaat and Samarpit took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Jammu Superstars achieved the target in the 17.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Rohan Gill chipped in unbeaten 45 runs, while Arya and Ritvik scored 16 runs each.
From Jammu Kings side, Uttkarsh, Devvats and Ashvardhan took 1 wicket each.
Rohan Gill of Jammu Superstars was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In Group-B match played at Sehwag Cricket Academy in Heritage School, Jammu Tigers crushed Jammu Warriors by a huge margin of 62 runs.
Batting first Jammu Tigers scored 139 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 18 overs. Ayush Andotra played a splendid inning of 62 runs, while Aditya Abrol and Shavac scored 18 runs each.
From Jammu Warriors side, Dhruv scalped 2 wickets and Faizan took 1 wicket.
In the second inning, Jammu Warriors failed to chase the target and collapsed at paltry 77 runs by losing all wickets in 17.4 overs. Achintya and Laith August made 15 and 14 runs respectively.
From Jammu Tigers side, Rahil Bhat took 3 wickets, while Anurag scalped 2 wickets and Umar, Molik, Jatin and Abay clinched one wicket each.
Ayush Andotra of Jammu Tigers was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Zafar, Manjeet Singh and Suhail.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Sunrisers will clash with Jammu Superstars, Jammu Tigers will take on Jammu Kings, Jammu Warriors will lock horns with Jammu Sunrisers and Jammu Tigers will take on Jammu Superstars.
