Jammu University scholars bring laurels to State

JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu University scholars brought laurels to the State in general and Varsity in particular, by making it to the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS), the final selection list of which was declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), recently.
Shaveta Jandial, a researcher and lecturer secured 5th rank in the select list which is the highest ever rank by any IFS from J&K. Similarly, Renu Bala Sharma bagged 9th rank followed by Nisha Goswami, who is presently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Botany.
While expressing his satisfaction, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, congratulated the achievers for this impressive accomplishment and also congratulated their family members and teachers for shaping up the career of these young and vibrant scholars.
Prof Ishar exhorted upon the student and scholar community to follow the path of hard work, commitment, dedication and sincerity to achieve their best and desired goals.
