SAMBA, Oct 18: Jammu wrestler Babrie toppled Punjab wrestler Kuldeep Singh in the main bout which lasted for over ten minutes and lifted the Annual Peer Baba Hazrat Ali Haq dangal title, organized by the Dangal Committee Dasal in Bari Brahmana, here.
MLA Vijaypur, Surjit Singh Salathia was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed awards among the winner and runners-up wrestlers on the occasion.
Over 50 wrestlers drawn from the States of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir participated in the event to vie for the top honours.
The winner was presented a cash award of Rs 20,000, while the runners-up wrestler received a cash prize of Rs 12,000 from the chief guest on the occasion.
The event was organized under the overall supervision of Sikander Singh Charak, Dr Ashok Kumar, Sher Khan, Janak Raj, Balwan Singh, Capt Jaspal Singh and Shamsher Singh.
