JAMMU, Sept 18: Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI) today conducted an intensive Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on teaching methodologies for the faculty members of Institute of Management Sciences and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology.
The chief guest on the occasion was Professor J R Dhotra, Director IMS, while Dr Seema Narain, Director YCET was the guest of honour.
Prof J R Dhotra in his inaugural welcome address exhorted that Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions has been keenly involved in faculty enrichment programmes.
Before the FDP, Dr Manoj also interacted with the MBA students and discussed with them the basics of financial statements.
FDP was designed by Dr Manoj Kumar, Head and Professor of Finance & Accounting at FLAME, Pune.
Various Pedagogical Methods (Case Teaching), Academic Administration, Finance & Accounting Research, Institution Building and Management, Simulations & Project based teaching methods using cases in delivery of their courses, apart from lectures, presentations & audiovisual aids etc for continuous development of Teaching & Learning, were covered during the FDP to compliment planning and academic administration.
FDP was coordinated by I S Walia, Training and Placement Officer-JGEI.
Vote of thanks was presented by Tania Mengi, Assistant Prof IMS.
