Janamashtmi celebrated with fervour

JAMMU, Aug 29: Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety.
Banyan International School celebrated Janamas-htmi, in which children eagerly participated. The students of primary wing enacted a play depicting the life of Lord Krishna and his teachings, followed by dance.
Janamashtmi was celebrated at New Era Environmental Higher Secondary School. On the occasion, students attired as Lord Krishna and Radha participated in various activities.
Janamashtmi was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety at Vidya Peeth Public Higher Secondary School, Chogan Slathian. Students attired in colourful dresses present cultural programme, followed by drawing competition by Career Abacus. Principal Vipin Kumar Sharma highlighted the importance of the day.
Sai Montessorie Higher Secondary School, New Plot Jammu celebrated Janamashtmi with religious fervour. Students dressed in colourful dresses, presented various cultural programmes.
Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Janamashtmi. The programme started with chanting of mantra by toddlers of Pre Primary wing, followed by skit and dance items. Hapreet Singh Anand, Chairperson of the School, Vice Chairperson and Principal Rohini Aima, Harmeet and Nidhi Kohli in their speeches threw light on the importance of the day.
Playway Nursery wing of New National Higher Secondary School, Talli Morh and Miran Sahib celebrated Janamashthmi, in which hundreds of tiny tots took part actively. On the occasion, students dressed as Krishna and Radha participated in various activities. Principal Balkaran Singh highlighted the importance of the day.
Janamashtmi was celebrated at Sanjeevani Kutir, Bohri, in which people from Northern India and locals took part actively. On the occasion, Anand Swami Pran Nath Bhat ‘Gareeb’ Baiji delivered the religious discourse on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. He laid stress on the importance of Bhagwat Gita in eradicating brutal tendency, barbarism in the society. Such tendencies can be put under control by adopting the teachings of the Bhagwat Gita.
Janamashtmi was celebrated with pomp and show at Parjapati Brahmakumaris Vishva Vidyalaya, BC Road. Life of Lord Krishna was depicted through attractive tableaux. Former Minister RS Chib inaugurated the function. Chib along with chief of the Brahmakumaris Rajyogini Sudarshana threw light on the importance of the day.
