Jandyal Thathi, Sandhoori Warriors script convincing victories

JAMMU, Feb 15: Jandyal Thathi Warriors defeated Tawi Vihar Legends, while Sandhoori Warriors registered a convincing win over Chack Challengers in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss at Bajalta play field in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Tawi Vihar Legends decided to bat first and scored 128 runs by losing 6 wickets in 14 overs.
Jandyal Thathi Warriors chased the target and won the match by 5 wickets in 13 overs.
Rajat from Jandyal Thathi Warriors was declared man of the match for his blistering 49 runs of 25 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes.
The second match was played between Sandhoori Warriors and Chack Challangers.
Chack Challengers won the toss, elected to bat first but scored just 88 runs only losing all wickets in 12 overs.
Sandhoori Warriors took off confidently and chased the target with ease, thus winning the match by 6 wickets in 13 overs.
Tarsem Lal was declared man of the match for his brilliant hatrick and record bowling figures of 2.3 overs one maiden, 9 runs and 5 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Pankaj Sasun from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
Sarpanch Bajalta Ch Rehmat Ali, besides hundreds of cricket lovers from the constituency as also from Jammu witnessed the matches cheered the players.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, vice president, Take-1 Channel and member organizing committee.
