BARAMULLA, Apr 23: Jashn-e-Baramulla began with ‘Aman Ki Daud’ and Cycle Rally at Degree College, here today.
The participants took part in the Rally with enthusiasm and fervour to vie for the top honours.
Around 230 youth from Baramulla and adjoining areas participated in this 5 kilometers ‘Aman Ki Daud’.
The event was flagged off by Major General RP Kalita, SM, VSM, GOC Dagger Division in presence of Nazir Ahmed Naqash, DDC Baramull and Imtiyaz Hussain, SSP Baramulla.
Bashir-ul-Rahman, Haja Khursheed and Tariq Hussain bagged first three positions respectively in above 40 year category, while Abid Rehman, Wahied Sultan and Akib Khan claimed first, second and third position in Under-40 category.
In Cycle Rally, first three positions went to Amir Asat, Manan and Nadeem Bashir.
The winners of first, second and third positions received a cash prize of Rs 10,000, 7,500 and 5,000 respectively.
