KATHUA, May 30: MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia, today inaugurated the construction work of a passenger shed at Lachhipur Morh of Kathua constituency.
The passenger shed will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh under “Cluster Model Village Scheme” by Rural Development Department.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the Government is committed for holistic development of all the regions. He said the Government is aware about the problems of the people, adding that massive developmental programmes have been initiated in the State with the aim to improve the living standard of the people.
Castigating opposition parties for indulging in vote politics, Jasrotia said they are frustrated with the initiatives taken by the present PDP-BJP Coalition Government for holistic development of the State. “They had done nothing during their tenure and left behind a liability of crores for us”, he said, we managed to clear the liability to a large extent and at the same time committed ourselves to provide basic amenities like power, adequate drinking water, education, health and other civic facilities to the people of the State.
