KATHUA, Jan 18: BJP State general secretary and MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated work under BADP Model Village Airwan, Jagai, Darallan for the year 2015-16 in block Barnoti, along with Sarpanch Airwan Darwari, Andar Mandal Pardhan Narinder Kala, Shashi Sharma, Balbir, Hemraj, Vishal Sharma, Niteswar Singh, Jagdish Poonia, and others.
Addressing the gathering after laying of foundation,  Jasrotia said that the Government was committed to provide better basic amenities to the people of the remote as well as urban areas. Responding to the demands of the people, Jasrotia assured them that the pending works like construction of lanes and drains, construction of toilets, old age pension cases will be taken up at the earliest.
Jasrotia said that the previous Coalition Government has ensured equitable development of all the regions of the State, adding that the main attention has been given by the Government for up-gradation of the basic facilities and better infrastructure to improve education, PHE and power supply, healthcare services for the benefit of the people of remote and far flung areas.
MLA cautioned the people against divisive forces and urged them to work for cementing the bonds of brotherhood between various communities.”The people should be cautious about the mechanization of the opposition who are dividing the people on communal lines to gain political mileage”, he said.
He gave a detailed account of the development projects and welfare schemes launched by the Coalition Government in the State. He said that the opposition was un-nerved with growing popularity graph of the present Coalition Government. Development of border areas has been a matter of concern for the country.  Border Area Development Programme (BADP) was initiated for ensuring balanced development of border areas through development of infrastructure and promotion of well being and a sense of security among the border population, he added.
