JAMMU, June 24: A superb batting display by the talented trio of Jaswinder Singh, Paras Sharma and Sidharth Magotra coupled with a 4-wicket haul by bowling all-rounder Vishwajeet Singh helped Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) to thrash Chib Cricket Club by a huge margin of 111 runs in the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2014 tournament sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and being played at KC Public School ground adjacent to KC Sports Club.
Earlier, JCC batted first and posted an impressive total of 187 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Jaswinder Singh scored magnificent 76 runs, while Paras Sharma and Sidharth Magotra contributed 41 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For Chib CC, Neelu, Ajay, Sahil and Love Chib took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Chib CC were bundled out for a meagre total of 76 runs in 17.4 overs, thus lost the match by 111 runs. Sandeep Saini and Sahil contributed 27 and 17 runs to the total respectively. Vishwajeet Singh was the wrecker-in-chief for JCC, claiming 4 important wickets, while Guru Pratap Singh took 2 wickets. Rahil Singh, Shubam Pundir and Aditya bagged 1 wicket each. Jaswinder Singh of JCC was declared man of the match for his knock of 76 runs in 54 balls.
Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh and Sohail Yusuf were the officials of the match.

In another match, Chib Cricket Club got better of Friends Cricket Club by 6 wickets in an easy contest . FCC decided to bat first after winning the toss and put 142 runs on the board. Chotu was the top scorer with 65 runs, while Raju and Vivek contributed 20 runs each. Sahil and Sandeep Saini took 3 wickets each for Chib CC, while Love Chib bagged 2 wickets and Ajay and Neelu got 1 wicket each.
In reply, Chib CC completed the target in 15.5 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Love Chib, Babbu, Tarun and Ajay contributed 33, 30, 29 and 25 runs respectively. For FCC, Raju took 2 wickets and Vivek and Manik shared 1 wicket each. Love Chib was declared man of the match for his knock of 33 runs and 2 wickets.
