Jatin, Satish’s opening flier help RCC to lift KCSC T20 Cup

JAMMU, Apr 9: Dashing opening batsman Jatin Wadhawan and promising all-rounder Satish Kumar made a brilliant opening wicket partnership of 95 runs to set the stage for Rainawari Cricket Club’s big win over Rommy Sports Club to lift the title trophy of the KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Tournament  at KC School ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, RCC Srinagar rode on a brilliant opening wicket partnership of 95 runs between Jatin Wadhawan (60 runs off 32 balls) and Satish Kumar (39 runs off 37 balls) to score a decent total of 164 runs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Farooq also contributed quick-fire 12-ball 30 runs. For Rommy Sports Club, Aman took 2 wickets and Narinder Singh claimed one.
In reply, Rommy Sports Club scored 139 runs in 17.3 overs by losing all their wickets, thus lost the match by 27 runs. Puneet Kumar top scored with power-packed 35 runs off 18 balls, while Gagan contributed 24 runs off 26 balls. For RCC, Dilbag Singh was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3 important wickets, while Ram Dayal and skipper Kuldeep Kumar claimed 2 wickets each. Jatin Wadhawan was adjudged man of the match for his superb batting display. RCC Srinagar was accompanied by Madan Mohan as coach, while president of the Club, CL Suri and general secretary Rajesh Dhar were also present on the occasion.
The winners were presented with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a trophy, while runners-up team was presented with a trophy.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh, Sadiq Hussain Malik and Dilawer Singh.
