Jatin’s cracking 78 guide JKP to huge win

JAMMU, Dec 13: Jatin Wadhavan smashed power-packed unbeaten 78 runs to help Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) to thrash Pathankot Cricket Academy by a huge margin of 100 runs in the ongoing Christmas Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Greenland Cricket Club, Pathankot.
Earlier, batting first, JKP scored a decent total of 172 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process. Jatin scored 78 runs off just 32 balls, studded with 3 magnificent boundaries and 9 huge sixes, while Pankaj Ladda also scored unbeaten 54 runs off 40 balls with the help of 6 boundaries. Farooq was other notable scorer with 20 runs.
In reply, Pathankot Cricket Academy bundled out for 72 runs, thus lost the match by 100 runs. Gurpreet, Manjeet and Hemant contributed 22, 19 and 15 runs to the total respectively. Rompy Sharma was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 important wickewts, while Rajesh Gill claimed 3 wickets. For his superb knock, Jatin was declared man of the match.
