REASI, Feb 26: A magnificent half-century scored by Jatin Wadhawan went in vain as Blue Star Sunderbani rode on superb all-round performance by Micky to defeat JKP XI in an exciting contest by 5 wickets and enter the semifinals of the ongoing Sadbhavana Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first, JKP XI scored 129 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Jatin Wadhawan top scored with brilliant 50 runs, while Avinash scored 26 runs to the total. For Blue Star Club, Micky took 2 wickets, while Vikas, Shankar and Yasir claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Blue Star chased the target in 19.3 over s in a close contest by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Tasir (40) and Micky (39) were the main contributors. For JKP XI, Vishal Singh Bhau was the pick of the bowlers who took 3 important wickets, while Amir claimed 2 wickets. Micky of Blue Star Sunderbani was declared man of the match for his all-round show.
BJP District President, Mr Ajay was the chief guest on the occasion, who presented man of the match award to Micky of Blue Star Club.
