SAMBA, July 10: Jatwal Cricket Club defeated Malhotra Cricket Club by 42 runs in the summit clash to lift the Gulshan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, which concluded here today.
Subhash Bhagat, BJP State Executive member was the chief guest on the occasion, while Omkar Padha, District spokesperson BJP Samba was the guest of honour. Both the dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams on the occasion.
16 teams drawn from Samba and adjoing arers participated in the tournament.
Earlier, Jatwal Club scored a decent total of 144 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 15 overs, while in reply, Malhotra Club bundled out for 102 runs and lost the match by 42 runs.
The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 5100 and a trophy, while Rs 3100 and a trophy was presented to runners-up team.
