MENDHAR, Aug 27: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Mendhar, Javed Rana today said that confrontational attitude by the Government and use of force to control the unrest in Kashmir is no solution.
Addressing a public gathering at Gursai in the Mendhar tehsil, Mr Rana said that on one side, there is continued curfew for the last 53 days and the whole Valley is shut with schools, Government offices and business establishments shut while at the same time, the Chief Minister is saying that this is being done by just five percent people. If CM is correct that number of such people is only five percent, then this means these five percent people are more powerful than the State as well as Central Government,” he added and accused Mehbooba Mufti of adding fuel to the fire.
The NC leader appreciated the role of Omar Abdullah, who met Prime Minister and Union Home Minister apprising them about the deteriorating situation in Valley. “The situation has become incorrigible in the Valley as all the districts in Kashmir are suffering badly,” he said.
On the occasion, the NC leader also announced some developmental works in Gursai block. He lamented that previous Government had approved CD blocks for for Gursai but unfortunately the present setup seems not in a mood to open this CD block.
Javed Rana also announced Model village for Gursai block and funds for tractor road, drains, water tanks etc.
Javed Rana appealed the people of Rajouri-Poonch to maintain the communal harmony and brotherhood in the area and discourage designs of communal forces.
