JAMMU, Oct 30: Jayesh was among other six peddlers who registered victories in the men’s singles event of the 37th Stag Inter-District Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in men’s singles, Jayesh drubbed Hanumant by (3-0), Gurvinder beat Asad by (3-2), Vasu trounced Arnav Rohmetra by (3-1), Sandeep defeated Ansh by (3-0), Dheeraj got better of Anil Dutta by (3-0), Vishal Ghai prevailed over Ritvik by (3-1) and Shorya outplayed Ketan by (3-0).
In women’s singles, Shazar outclassed Shriya by (3-1), Archita Kesar toppled Purvi Sharma (3-0) and Hargun thrashed Shivangi (3-0), while in junior girls, Jhanvi Pandoh beat Meghna Jain (3-0), and Shreya trounced Archita (3-0).
In sub junior girls, Ashmit beat Hargun (3-0), Bhavya prevailed over Iknoor (3-1) and Archita Kesar outplayed Meghna Jain (3-2).
The finals of the championship will be played tomorrow at 4.30 pm to be followed by prize distribution ceremony, wherein Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly will be the chief guest and SK Sharma, Executive Director Power Grid Corporation of India will be the guest of honour.
