JAMMU, Jan 4: Jammu Cricket Club (JCC), Jammu crushed Lupin Ltd by a huge margin of 93 runs in the 3rd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, JCC scored 134 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Jaswinder Singh was the top scorer with 61 runs, while Gurdeep contributed 27 runs to the total and Surya chipped in with 14 runs. Aditya took 3 wickets for Lupin Ltd, while Vivek and Tilak claimed one wicket each.
Lupin Ltd, in reply collapsed at 41 runs in 12 overs, thus lost the match by 93 runs. Vivek top scored with 16 runs. Pankaj and Hritik took 3 wickets each for JCC, while Deepak and Aditya bagged 2 wickets each. Jaswinder was named as man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
In another match, Junior Warriors XI defeated Sidhant Cricket Club by 19 runs. Batting first, Junior Warriors scored 140 runs in 20 overs. Kanaiya Wadhawan top scored with 45 runs, while Satyabrat and Aryan Dogra contributed 24 and 21 runs respewctively. For Sidhant Club, Rishab and Saiyam took 2 wickets each, while Vishal claimed one.
In reply, Sidhant CC, managed to score 121 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 19 runs. Aryan Gandral top scored with 38 runs, while Dikshant contributed 30 runs to the total. Rishab chipped in with 12 runs. For Juniior Warriors, Aryan Dogra took 3 wickets, Ankush Gill bagged 2 and Kanaiya claimed one. Aryan Dogra was adjudged as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh, Surender, Indraj and Vinod Kandyara.
