JCC defeats PC-XI by 7 runs

JAMMU, Dec 26: Showing exceptional performance, Jaguar Cricket Club (JCC) won a thrilling match against Press Club-XI Jammu by 7 runs at University of Jammu today.
BJP General Secretary, Vibodh Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion who was accompanied by Senior BJP leader Somnath Khajuria, Secretary Chamber of Traders Federation, Tushar Mahajan and Dinesh Mahajan (Journalist). The Chief Guest presented trophies among winning and runner-up teams. He also appreciated Press Club Jammu for organizing the matches.
Earlier, the captain of Jaguar Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first, the team made an excellent score of 195 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, the opening batsmen made an excellent partnership, in which Gurmeet Singh played an innings of 80 runs. While Ravpreet Singh scored 38, Jeevanjyot Singh scored 25 and Harveer Singh scored 28 runs.
For Press Club Jammu, Tejas Jamwal, Varun Sharma and Naveen Kaul took one wicket each. While chasing the huge target, Press Club – XI team lost early wicket, but Tejas Jamwal scored unbeaten 82 runs, Mohit Sharma scored 37 runs, Rohit Sharma scored 24 runs and Rahul Khatri scored 21 runs to take the team to 189 runs after losing 5 wickets, but they lost the match by just seven runs.
For Jaguar Cricket Club, Harveer Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ravpreet Singh and Sachin Kumar took one wicket each. Gurmeet Singh was awarded as Man of the Match for his excellent innings.
