JCCI warns non-performers, vows to gear up for struggle

JAMMU, Sept 15: While issuing warning to the non-performers in the PDP-BJP Government and those ignoring aspiration of Jammu people, the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry today resolved to launch decisive struggle.
An emergency meeting was convened at Chamber House today under the leadership of JCCI president  Rakesh Gupta,  wherein heads of all the major associations affiliated to Jammu Chamber participated. Threadbare discussions were held on the pending demands and issues which have been taken up by the Chamber in the past and also represented and agitated before the  Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on his recent visit to Jammu besides other ministers in the State.
All the heads of about 65  Associations who participated in the meeting unanimously urged the Chamber president to take effective steps to get the  demands of Chamber  to the logical conclusion. All  the members  authorised the  Chamber  president  to announce the further course of action to get these demands fulfilled for the progress and prosperity of trade and industry and also regarding  the developmental issues of Jammu pending for the last several years.
The Chamber president  assured that Jammu Chamber shall not spare the non- performers occupying the seat of power to play with hard earned money of  tax payers. He  also told the members that Chamber shall announce further course of action by Saturday ( September 16), afternoon regarding pending demands of abolition of Toll Tax at Lakhanpur, fixation of deadline for completion of developmental projects like Gandola,  Mubarak Mandi Heritage, resumption of  work on Artificial Tawi Lake project, slow pace of acquiring land for AIIMS, declaration as State holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh on  September 23, modification in the Jammu Master Plan, unscheduled power cuts, deportation of Rohingyas  and an early notification announcing incentives to the Industries.
The office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry present in the meeting included  Rajeev Gupta, junior vice president,  Manish Gupta-secretary general,  Gaurav Gupta- secretary and Ashu Gupta- treasurer.
