JDA retrieves land from encroachers

JAMMU, Apr 13: The Enforcement Wing of JDA retrieved 3 kanals and 13 marlas of land at village Gurah Brahmana valuing more than Rs 1.5 crores.
In a day long drive under Narinder Singh, Khilafwarzi Officer, Sania Haq Khan, Tehsildar JDA Zone-A, Parshotam Kumar, Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary and Booti Singh, Khilafwarzi Inspectors removed more than 10 plinths and a structure raised on the JDA land.
The land has been fenced by Engineering Wing by the way of barbed wires and poles. The value of the land is reported more than Rs 1.5 crores.
Earlier, the drive was resisted by local people particularly women folk but the timely intervention of police force headed by DySP Domana Sanjay Parihar thwarted the attempts of the encroachers.
Sardar Khan, AEE JDA Division No II had made complete arrangements for fencing the land.
