KATHUA, Feb 12: JDS Gurukul Kathua today celebrated its Annual Day with pomp and show.
Captioned as “Fiesta of Learning” – the Annual Day marked the presentation of a variety of colorful cultural items by the students of the Gurukul.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP), was the chief guest whereas former Principal DIET, Basohli, Rakesh Brahmi and Sanjay Sehgal (President’s Best Teacher Awardee) were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Joginder Sharma (Chairman of JDS Gurukul), while presenting welcome address, enumerated the academic achievements by the students of the School. The students through their scintillating performances scored the need for controlling pollution, saving trees and promoting amity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive officer, J&K IWMP, hoped that the School will continue to strive hard for achieving excellence in academics and other extra-curricular activities.
Shelja Sharma (Principal of the Gurukul), noted Paediatrician Dr Sulkshana Mengi, parents and students were present on the occasion.
