Jhelum FC sails into finals of DFA Annual League

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Jhelum FC defeated Syed Tajjudin FC in a semi-final match by 2 goals to 1 in the ‘Super Division DFA Football League and sailed into finals, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
Both the teams played a superb match to reach in finals of the League but due to brilliant attempt by Jhelum FC over Syed Tajuddin FC scored a nice goal in the 28th minute of 1st half through Rizwan. The first half ended with 1-0 in favour of Jhelum FC.
The second half was dominated by both the Clubs and their players made some excellent moves but in the 63rd minute Syed Tajuddin FC levelled the score by scoring a brilliant goal. Jhelum FC pulled their socks again by consolidating their position and netted another goal in the dying movement of 2nd half through Akib. Thus, Jhelum FC defeated their opponents and sailed into finals.
Meanwhile, in the ‘A’ Division match between Young Boys FC and Flying Kashmir FC remained a goalless draw, while in another match between Al-Ahlam FC and Al- Qudus FC. Al- Ahlam FC won the match by 3:1 goals.
The tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
