JAMMU, Mar 24: Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR), Nardani, Jammu today organized a mega Awareness Camp on the instruction of Chairman JIAR, Dr R L Sharma, wherein the concept ” Prevention is better than cure” was promoted.
As JIAR Jammu has adopted five rural and equal number of urban villages, its experts visited 508 houses and imparted awareness among the villagers.
They also promoted the concept ” Prevention is better than cure’ during the programme.
The villagers were advised to follow Yog, practice Pranayam and Surya Namaskar daily, not to indulge in junk, spicy food and to stay away from alcohol, smoking and drugs.
The villagers were also asked to change their life style to remain fit.
The camp was organized by Dr K K Kapoor along with faculty members Dr Twinkle Gupta, Dr Jagmeet Kaur, Dr Milan Chauhan and PG Scholars including Dr Rinki, Dr Raman, Dr Sukhpreet and Dr Robin.
