JJSF holds protest against discrimination in selection

JAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF) held protest demonstration against the alleged discrimination in selection process of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
The protest was led by Vikram Singh Chib, Provincial President JJSF under the supervision of Advocate Pushvinder Singh Manhas, State President JJSF.
Addressing the media persons, Vikram Singh said that discrimination is being observed in selection process, adding that the Association is hiring players from outside the State, leaving the local cricketers in the lurch.
Clinton, Vice President JJSF, Jammu Province said that the players from outside the State should be removed from the team.
The protest among others was attended by Clinton, Sr. Vice President JJSF Jammu Province, Sagar, Shubam, Vikas, Sachin, Nitin, Akhil, Lalit, Nitin Opinder, Atul, Abhmanyu, Hrithik, Prince, Ajay, Rahul, Aman and Rohit.
Meanwhile, prominent office bearer of JKCA while expressing anonymity said had there been discrimination in team selection, the performance of the team would have been dismal, adding that J&K performed brilliantly and won three out of five matches in North Zone Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy recently, defeating formidable sides like Delhi Punjab and Haryana.
