J&K 215/9 on day-2 as Baru scores fifty

JAMMU, Nov 10: Jammu and Kashmir were 215 for the loss of 9 wickets in their first innings of the ongoing 4-day Under-25 match against Odisha’s 320 runs at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Gokul Baru was unbeaten on 58, while Amir Mehraj was playing on 7 when the stumps were drawn today.
Earlier, opener Divya Pratap made 26 off 65 balls, while middle-order batsman Owais Shah contributed 29 runs to the total to give it some respectability. Then Gokul Baru (58) with five boundaries alongwith Syed Sagar (21) and Waseem Raja (17) helped their team to reach to 215/9 at close on day 2.
Laganjit Samal was the wrecker-in-chief for Odisha, who took 4 important wickets, while Priyatosh Paramanik claimed 2 wickets. Alok Sahoo and Bibhudutta Panda picked one wicket each. J&K are still trailing by 105 runs with 1 wicket in hand.
