J&K AIDS Control Society organises UT Level Online Quiz Competition

JAMMU, Jan 2: J&K AIDS Control Society organized a UT Level Online Quiz competition on HIV/AIDS and other health related issues by involving different Higher Educational Institutes from all over the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
This online event was carried out in three phases–District Level, Divisional Level and UT Level Competitions. In the first phase of District Level Quiz Competition, 98 institutes participated out of which 43 institutions which qualified in the first phase took part in the 2nd level quiz competition at the Divisional Level.
In the last and the final round, 5 institutions which qualified the Divisional Level quiz competition took part in the UT Level quiz competition.
The final was won by Government Medical College, Jammu followed by Government PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu securing second place and Government Degree College, Samba and Government Women College, MA Road, Srinagar jointly securing the third place.
The winning team will participate at the Northern Region Level Quiz Competition on January 7, 2021 being organized by Haryana State AIDS Control Society.
The whole event was supervised by Dr Tabassum Jabeen, Deputy Director, Dr Tabassum Firdous, Medical Officer, Deepika B Thakur, Deputy Director (IEC) alongwith other team members of IEC Division of J&K AIDS Control Society (JKACS) under the overall guidance of Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Project Director, JKACS.
The first three winning teams will be given exciting prizes and rest of the participants will be given e-certificates for taking part in the quiz competitions.
